Hello fams, we are thrilled to announce that RSS3 has finished the support for Lens (kudos to both teams behind the scene!). Starting today, all activities that happen on Lens will be accessible through the RSS3 API, rss3.io, and all apps built with the support of RSS3.
RSS3 is the information dissemination protocol for Web3. That means, wherever and however a piece of information is created and stored, RSS3 will deliver it to the apps and users in need. Lens is a trailblazer in exploring on-chain social activities, and we cannot wait to see more ecosystem applications from Lens to explore what RSS3 provides.
Now, any app that wants to utilize the data from Lens can just try out the RSS3 API. It is now faster, more comprehensive, and more efficient than ever. We have spent lots of effort to make sure that we can provide the best performance possible - And hey, maybe you will like it more than the Lens API .
This partnership here is also a great demonstration of the composability and interoperability that the Web3 ecosystem has been aiming for. As a protocol that helps users create on-chain states, Lens and its ecosystem applications are helping users create and store data on the decentralized network. And then, as the dissemination protocol, RSS3 is making sure that all apps will have the best access to these data together with data from other social and content platforms (e.g. Mirror.xyz). So all that the user creates can be found with a simple line of code.
We would love to celebrate this integration with a special event - when it starts, as you navigate through any feed or the reader on rss3.io, there is a chance to see a special reward note that allows you to claim a Lens handle. And also, any address that currently holds an RSS3 whitepaper or has more than 3000 $RSS3 on-chain (including those in the staking pool) will also be listed as an eligible address to claim a handle as well.
We are looking forward to seeing the new possibilities that this partnership brings to the whole Web3 ecosystem, and together, we will keep shipping out more and better ways to empower developers and users.
